Jonathan is dedicated to serving the residents of Los Altos.  He is a strong leader who listens to all points of view and works to build consensus.  As a lawyer, he has the training needed to fully understand the issues facing our City.  As the former Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission I saw his dedication to improving city parks, facilities and services.

-      Curtis Cole (former Mayor of Los Altos)

I believe that Jonathan will add dignity, clear thinking, decisiveness and respect to our City Council to help lead Los Altos forward.

-       Mary Prochnow (former Mayor of Los Altos)

I’m proud to support Jonathan Weinberg for Los Altos City Council.  Jonathan’s professional experience, service to our community and breadth of knowledge on city issues make him especially suited to step into the role of City Councilmember.  He is thoughtful, informed and will be a strong and effective advocate for the issues that matter most to our families and children, which is always on top of my mind.

-       Lori Cunningham (Board President & Trustee, Cupertino Union School District)

Jonathan is a thoughtful person who knows how to listen and has all the attributes to be an effective councilperson.  His participation on the Parks and Recreation Commission has prepared him for council service and demonstrates his commitment to the entire Los Altos community.  His legal background will help the city avoid the mistakes that have led to the unprecedented and costly litigation of recent years.

-       Roy Lave (former Mayor of Los Altos)

I enthusiastically endorse Jonathan Weinberg. He will bring smart leadership to the council, tackling today's problems while keeping an eye on the future.

-       Gary Hedden (former member, Environmental Commission)

Jonathan Weinberg is passionate about making Los Altos a wonderful place to live and raise a family.  I joined the Los Altos Parks and Recreation Commission in 2017 where I first met Jonathan.  He has become both a friend and mentor.  I admire his willingness to listen, focus on consensus building, and his commitment to fair process. Jonathan leads by example.  He is committed to meeting the challenges faced by Los Altos and I am confident that he will serve our town and our fellow citizens with his characteristic enthusiasm and diligence.  I unequivocally endorse Jonathan for City Council.  I am absolutely  delighted he has chosen to run for elected office.

-       Tanya Lindermeier (chair of the Los Altos Parks & Recration Commission)

My friend and south Los Altos neighbor Jonathan cares about our city. He shares our priorities – fiscal responsibility, safe streets, accountable and effective police, protected parks, disaster preparedness, and climate action. He will meet new pandemic challenges with leadership and empathy – strengthening economic programs; expanding the connection between volunteers and seniors; addressing mental health for youth and others in need. Jonathan will prioritize city services and improve our facilities from the Emergency Operations Center to the Grant Park Community Center.

-       Stacy Banerjee (Los Altos Complete Streets Commission, vice-chair)

I served on the Parks and Recreation Commission with Jonathan for several years.  In that time, I thoroughly respected his thoughtful and knowledgeable opinions.  Working with him was a pleasure.  With Jonathan’s almost 20 year experience as a real estate attorney, he would be an ideal addition to the City Council where many issues concern land use.  With his legal background, I trust that he would be able to help the city avoid the seemingly endless lawsuits the current council has pursued.  Additionally, Jonathan’s pro bono work for Lawyers in the Library and Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto is testament to his heart and kindness.

-       Larry Baron (former member, Parks and Recreation Commission)
